and so admu wins the uaap men's seniors basketball crown. hurrah!

yeah, i did get tickets for that pivotal game 2. maraming salamat, miko.

and yeah, it has been 2 weeks since the blue eagles reigned supreme on the hardcourt, but hey, better late than never, eh? congrats to this year's team. chris and yuri, we'll surely miss ye guys. ye earned ateneo bragging rights for one whole year!

and it's up to season 71's blue eagles to live up to the legacy ye guys made. but with the looks of things, it seems that wont be a problem.

iamnonoy. Wednesday, September 24, 2008 |

okay, so ive been really behind when it comes to updating this space, but since im a changed man, might as well type something. hence, today.

i got meself a new pc. yes, so this is officially my first post using teh new maCHinery. i finally salvaged myself from salvaging my six year old desktop, and, albeit with some pain, dug deep into my savings to get this brand spankin' new machine. nothing fancy, although some of my software/hardware/technology-adept friends say that what i have right now is a monster. but, sad thing is, DOTA still makes it hiccup, and i have yet to know as to exactly why. heck, can't have everything, right? (but The Secret says i can, right?)

tama. nagababasa na `to ng The Secret, boy! hahaha. yan ang solusyon sa lahat. "The Secret". oh yeah. bangis.

lessee how far thisll take me. but according to The Secret... yun lang.

now to more pressing matters: pusangamanatinubuanngbalahibosakakahintay, WALA PA AKONG TIKET PARA SA THURSDAY! a friend's scalper (wow, i have friends who have their own scalpers!) is selling upper b tickets for 900 a pop. medyo mahal, at mura at the same time, kasi admu-dlsu finals nga naman to, at ang normal na bentahan ay dapat nasa libo na. patusin ko kaya? abangan.

rabeh: "sayong sayo na, noy. relax, pare."

(credits go to the guys who took these pictures -- check the watermarks)

alot of people, specifically atenistas, are extremely, absolutely, magunaw-man-ang-mundo sure that ateneo will nab this year's uaap crown, hence they arent keen on paying to watch something that's expected. ampanget naman nun. haha.

i want to be there. i want to be there when admu wins, i want to be there if they dont. bottomline, and this is an open request to anyone who chances upon this blog before thursday, get me tickets, please! to quote seth from superbad: "id do unforgivable things to sleep with jules.", id do the same for tickets.

no, not THAT. The Secret lang `to!

ive been wondering for the longest time what imeem.com is all about, and i finally got the hang of it just 20 minutes ago. hay, the wonders of boredom. so, lessee if this works, eh? this is basically my previous list, apart from some additions. enjoy.

uy, gumagana o. astig! now i can actually share! yahooeys! more to come.

music and memories. Thursday, January 31, 2008 |

im thinking of shutting this entire operation down, since i havent exactly been giving it the proper attention it deserves, but i cant see myself doing that, YET. this has been a part of me for four years now, and it is quite a trip whenever i check the old posts. besides, this is the only place i can share music to whoever happens to chance upon this little nook in a much broader scale, apart from friends. so, that i shall be doing right about.. now.

note: ive been out of the loop with what the latest are in music as of late, so most of the songs in this list arent exactly "new". but hey, they kept me preoccupied in the previous months, and i hope they'd do the same for you, whoever you are.

hunting for witches. Monday, September 17, 2007 |

i already posted this on atenista.net, but i think this will get more airtime here.

first, here's a background story.

it has been two years, and i have yet to receive my college yearbook because apparently, nothing, and i mean nothing has happened since then. at, mukhang nawala sa balat ng lupa ang mga magigiting na nasa likod ng production number na ito.

ayun. here's the post.

****

i think this may be lost cause altogether, but i think is still worth a try.

here's the aegis 2006 editorial board. it may look like it, but this is not a wanted list whatsoever. they rushed us into submitting all the necessary requirements all year so that we could get our yearbook on-time, but we all know where that brought us. so, i think knowing who THEY are and to whom all our questions should be addressed isnt asking too much. but, if youre one of those seniors who paid 2,140 php (fun fact: 2,140 times 1,700 or so students = lots and lots of cash) just to have his/her aegis requirements collect dust in xavier hall (as rumor has it), this is like throwing your expectations out the window. besides, it's not like im posting pictures of them (although that would be much better, dont you think?)

drumroll, please.

nakaka-dalawang trabaho na ako since graduation. i wonder if these guys ever got any, unless they forgot to put "aegis 2006 editiorial board" on their resumes.

ay, onga pala -- great song by bloc party.

rules. Friday, September 07, 2007 |

got this in the mail. hilarious, if you ask me, mainly because they speak the truth.

*****

THE GUYS' RULES

These are our rules! Please note... these are
all numbered "1" ON PURPOSE!

1. Learn to work the toilet seat. You're a big
girl. If it's up, put it down. We need it up,
you need it down. You don't hear us complaining
about you leaving it down.

1. Sunday sports. It's like the full moon or the
changing of the tides. Let it be.

1. Shopping is NOT a sport. And no, we are never
going to think of it that way.

1. Crying is blackmail.

1. Ask for what you want. Let us be clear on
this one: Subtle hints do not work! Strong hints
do not work! Obvious hints do not work! Just say
it!

1. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers
to almost every question.

1. Come to us with a problem only if you want
help solving it. That's what we do. Sympathy is
what your girlfriends are for.

1. A headache that lasts for 17 months is a
problem. See a doctor.

1. Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible
in an argument. In fact, all comments become
null and void after 7 days.

1. If you won't dress like theVictoria's Secret
girls, don't expect us to act like soap opera
guys.

1. If you think you're fat, you probably are.
Don't ask us.

1. If something we said can be interpreted two
ways and one of the ways makes you sad or angry,
we meant the other one.

1. You can either ask us to do something or tell
us how you want it done. Not both. If you
already know best how to do it, just do it
yourself.

1. Whenever possible, please say whatever you
have to say during commercials.

1. Christopher Columbus did not need directions
and neither do we.

1. ALL men see in only 16 colors, like Windows
default settings. Peach, for example, is a
fruit, not a color. Pumpkin is also a fruit. We
have no idea what mauve is.

1. If it itches, it will be scratched. We do
that.

1. If we ask what is wrong and you
say "nothing," we will act like nothing's wrong.
We know you are lying, but it is just not worth
the hassle.

1. If you ask a question you don't want an
answer to, expect an answer you don't want to
hear.

1. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely
anything you wear is fine. Really.

1. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless
you are prepared to discuss such topics as
baseball, the shotgun formation, or monster
trucks.
1. You have enough clothes.

1. You have too many shoes.

1. I am in shape. Round is a shape.

1. Thank you for reading this. Yes, I know, I
have to sleep on the couch tonight; but did you
know men really don't mind that? It's like
camping.

we definitely need more fries.
